Is it cheaper to buy crashed cars & pay to get them fixed?
If you’re talking about salvaged cars, it is cheaper, however here are some things to consider (I used to be a claims adjuster for an auto firm) 1) The car will still have a salvaged title and so if you ever want to sell it, you’ll get considerably less 2) Sometimes a lot of insurance companies may just give you liability coverage, so if you get into an accident and it’s any part your fault, you’ll have to pay that amount for damage. (i.e. if it’s you’re fault, then you pay for all the damage on your car, if it’s a 50/50, then your insurance will pay the other guy’s bill 50% but nothing on your side) 3) You can fix salvaged cars, but sometimes it won’t run perfectly. However if you can get it fixed for cheap (i.e. you work at a body shop) it might be worth it.
i would say that you should get a crashed or blown motor or any car like that, just because if it was at one point wrecked then that mean the the body is tweaked and if the motor was blown on it then that means the previous owner ran the hell out of it,, i suggest that you by a used car,,,(not from a dealer they screw you) go to a private party then by your car from then and ask then how they drove the car if it was just an around town car then i would go for it but if its a vacation car then you can but then there are alot of motor problems,,,,, its easier to fix a couple of parts throughout the life of the car then buy them all and then have them break on you anyways hope it helps
