Is it better to study on campus compared to online learning for degree in psychology?

0

If you plan to put your psych degree to good use, it is better to have it on campus. If you’re planning on becoming a research psychologist, it is very important that you have direct experience in conducting research and on campus, you can join a lab where you get to work with a professor and/or graduate students. If you’re planning on being a therapist, the live setting will allow you to see how psychologists conduct a (client-approved) session of therapy. Furthermore, on campus you get to visit your professors when you have doubts, ask them about careers related to psychology, grad schools etc… Good professors show a lot of videos on each kind of psychological problem. All these ingredients are missing when learning online. Having said all that, campus will be more expensive and time-consuming. You won’t be able to study at your pace or your timings. And if you want to study psychology just for fun, then an online setting would be enough.
