Is it better to let a pet live in a little pain or put it to sleep?
Depends on how much. If the pain is manageable under a vet’s supervision, I’d say let him live. If the pain isn’t manageable, then find a reputable vet and get their take on it before you do anything. Euthanasia can be an act of love in some circumstances. Humans are different, at least as most people see it. Humans generally believe themselves to have a soul. There are those who believe that assisted suicide (which, depending on context can be a type of euthanasia) is both suicide and murder and both may be considered mortal sins. Also, regardless of which side of the fence you’re on regarding euthanasia of humans, as long as the person is conscious, he or she can decide whether life is worth living and in concert with his or her doctor, can decide on a course of treatment and/or pain management.
