Is it better to fence in piñatas, or let them free roam?
Like any good issue, moderation is the key. You want to strike a balance between protecting your piñatas from other (wild) species, sours, or rivals, and giving them plenty of room to roam. (If they don’t have enough room to roam, they will become ill.) In addition to protecting your piñatas, fences also help protect your garden objects. There’s nothing worse than a free-roaming Elephanilla eating your flowers, and trampling your garden or smaller pinatas! Also, some species don’t get along with other species, and they’ll start fighting each other. Fences are one way to help isolate species and prevent fights. See Designing your garden for some layout suggestions.
