Is it better having a radon aerator which provides 40 l/min than 20 l/min?
A radon aerator shall always provide at least 20 l/min but never more than the well pump. A normal pump for a household rarely delivers more than app. 20 l/min, after pressure, height and loss of friction (at 2 bar pressure). A radon aerator that is “too large” in relation to your well pump creates unnecessary wear and tear to your radon aerator. Therefore, Radonett has 5 different models which can fit properly with your construction. However, make note that 40 l/min of water on the grass field coming out of a garden hose is not the same thing as 40 l/min in water taps in a house; that is where you want to have pressure in all your taps and that’s where the torrent is minimized considerably. The Radonett torrent is calculated at 2 bar pressure and has a working pressure of up to app.4.5 bar (1 bar = 1 kg). The lowest pressure Radonett provides over 50 liters per minute without extra pressure being applied(!) and app. 20 l/min at 2 bar with pressure.
