Is it best to fish at high or low tide from a beach?
Really a part of fishing would be from low water, at that point you can see any rocks or weed that could cost you tackle by becoming entangled, especially around Cornwall. Mostly the fishing comes on about two hours before the high and an hour over the top. Obviously the in coming tide stirs up the bottom encouraging the fish to feed. The wind also has a great deal of bearing on your fishing. I remember a little poem that went, when the winds in the easts the fish feed the least, when the winds in the south it blows the bait into their mouths.
