Cash is best and US dollars get you practically wherever you need to go and whatever you need to buy! If you want pesos, use the ATM at the Puerto Vallarta airport to get the best exchange rate. The closest ATM or exchange booth to Costa Azul is in Sayulita. Again, you can pay in US dollars for most anything including the shuttle between airport/Costa Azul, taxis, and all tips and activities at Costa Azul.
