Is it bad to lose 10 lbs in one week.?
You’ve just lost water weight. When you start a low carb way of eating, you first deplete the glycogen stores. Glycogen holds 3x it’s weight in water. So the first week you are just emptying the glycogen stores – like wringing out a sponge. There is no fat lost during this period. When you return to eating carbs, you refill these stores & the water they hold. You really don’t want to lose weight too fast, it can upset your electrolyte balance, but this loss doesn’t really count. Make sure you take a multivitamin & I would suggest adding half an avocado & sea salt to your diet. You can lose more body fat eating protein & fat (don’t eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast, eat all you want, but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter & half an avocado a day (for added potassium). Keep the calories high & the fat percentage high, at least 65% of calories. Green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace. The first 2 weeks eat
