Yes, alcohol is bad for piercings, especially when they’re new because it kills the bacteria that is trying to heal them. A better option is to wash with a mild antibacterial soap (like Dial) or a sea-salt solution. After washing, apply Bactine to prevent infection. Also, washing them 3 times a day can cause them to dry out and become irritated. Twice (once in the morning and once in the evening) is better. Good luck!
