Is it bad to be overweight during pregnancy??

0

I gained 50 lbs with my pregnancy. Went from 125 to 175. I did have a difficult time with my birth but I don’t feel that it was because I gained so much weight. I would make sure that you are eating well and trying to get out and walk or swim every day. My daugher was over 9 lbs which accounted for some of it, but 10 months later I’m still working off my last 15lbs (I dropped 25 right after birth, another 10 about 6 months later, and it feels like i’m never going to lose the last 15) Also remember that if you were smaller to begin with you are more likely to put on more weight in pregnancy to accomodate for it. Try not to let your doctor discourage you. Even if your baby is big, you CAN birth it. My mother went to school with a mom who naturally birthed a SIXTEEN POUND BABY. So if your doctor says, well you have a big baby i’d like to do a c-section – you have the power to say ‘i want to try a vaginal birth first’. If your doctor is making you feel uncomfortable, unhappy, or otherwise
