Is it appropriate to hand write the envelopes on wedding invitations?
You can certainly hand write the envelopes. Buy a professional metallic pen/marker (silver or gold), or the pen of your choice to do this (the pen must write very smoothly). If your handwriting isnt the best you know, then get someone to do it for you that writes extremely nicely. Make sure to get extra envelopes in case some mess up (to err is human). It is a very cheap way to address your invitations, and its something most people will find more personalized and thoughtful than machine printing their names. If you want another cheap alternative to hand writing, you can type everyones name and print them out at home with your own printer.
