Is it any good being an Avon Representative?

I like being a representative. Though I only sell to my friends and family, I would like to have a big customer base one day. There are some Avon reps that make $30,000 a year, but they are the ones who really work for it. I like getting the discounts for all my products too. It is harder for me because I am shy, and am not yet comfortable with going door to door, or putting a lot of books in businesses.
