Is it illegal (a “felony” or “fraud” that you could do jail time for) to buy a service dog vest and patch for transporting your pet with you in the cab of a plane? Further, is it illegal to obtain a “service dog” certificate for your dog if he doesn’t go through school or whatever? I know that it is not allowed to require someone disclose what the ailment of the person is (Oh yeah—I’m psychotic!). Just wondering. Wow! Who knew dog people would get so hot and ASSuming under the collar?! ha ha ha Anyway, I was just ASKING, you fools, I don’t even own a dog. And the dog in question is in training to be a search and rescue dog. Thanks for your answers, those of you that weren’t jackholes. Misrepresenting yourself for air travel be it as a terrorist or lying pet owner can get you detained, prosecuted and jailed. Since 9/11 the TSA tends to take misrepresentation pretty seriously. It can also get you banned from all future air travel. Claiming a dog as a service dog when you aren’t disable
