There are already good answers and my answer is more to neutralize Loo’s judgmental answer and hopefully to encourage you. Because I personally think it is great that you don’t want to give away any of these two. We have rescued a two year old Rottweiler with behavior problems and a six year old Pitbul. Both have very different temperaments. With guidance they are now getting along pretty well. Picture yourself as an employer with a security guard. You are the one giving the instructions. Would you want your security guard to be rude to your family members or guests? So be firm with Terry because a Rottweiler does need a very strong and consistent hand. She is starting to do her job. A rottweiler is a very loyal guard dog. They are always on guard and they take their job very seriously. This breed sees almost everything as a threat to their master. You might have not seen this side of her before because she hasn’t perceived anything as a threat until Perry. She is also still very young
