Generally – yes. State and Territory OHS legislation generally call up the Standards (either directly as part of the regulations or as part of government policy) as the minimum conditions under which occupational diving should be conducted. Where ther egulations do notcall up the Standards, they will almost certainly be referred to in a court of law investigating a case of misconduct, an accident or death etc. and will be used as a reference for industry best practice and in a civil action.
