Is it a good idea to teach other nations English football?

It’s a bit of a paradox really. Most overseas fans admire the EPL because of the atmosphere, and the fact that the grounds are nearly always full. My french friends love to hear the English style chanting, and the fact that there are so many “derbies”. On the other hand, it doesn’t take a genius to realise that our “English” football is tactically not as good as the silkier continental style of football. This is partly why there are so many overseas players within the premiership. The other being the amount of money a player can earn at the top level.

Before Hysel, the English style dominated Europe, and the pace of today’s English game is still usually too much for European sides, so I wouldn’t say it’s inferior. I would agree that the Spanish and Italian players are technically superior to our players, but the English style, aesthetic or not, usually comes out on top of the continental style.
