Sitesell can help your mum to still make money even in recession.I still make money regardless of recession in my own internet business.http://passion.sitesell.com/genuineinfo.html And many others are doing the same http://case-studies.sitesell.com/genuineinfo.html Read in between the line and feel what Sitesell can offer you and your mum. Please support her.It does not really what she promotes but what she has passion for.

Its your mum, you should support her whatever she does. She should do some market research into if there are any other similar companies out there, write a business plan for how she is going to market the website and products and work out how she is going to pay the bills in the meantime until she can make a profit. If she can go through all this and still be enthusiastic then she should go for it. But, there is nothing to stop her creating the website and trying to launch her business AND trying to get a job to keep her in clothes and food until the business takes off. Good luck to her.

Suggest to your mum that she contacts her local Business Link for a free business review. They’ll help her work out the best way to take this forward or analyse whether it is worth going forward with it. As someone else has said, there are still plenty of horses around and their owners still need products for them. Provided she promotes her site well, she’ll attract business. Business Link is also good on advice about websites. They run a course on getting the best from them. It isn’t necessarily going to be a bad business. Does your mum expect you to support her in what she’s doing? I know from experience that friends and family are often the least supportive people when it comes to running your own business. The other option, if she doesn’t think it will work is to sell the stock to a competitor and cut her losses. Or perhaps the suppliers will buy it back? I wish her luck!
