Is it a good idea to send the old to nursing homes?

They aren’t just for the old but they are good for people who need them. They have the medical care and personal care they need 24/7 and can’t get out to go play in traffic. If they don’t need medical care that much then they can be kept at home if they have enough money or family with the time and health to do it. My great grandmother needed care when she was 90 and my grand parents kept her at their house for 17 months. They couldn’t even go grocery shopping together grandma didn’t drive so was stuck at home or places she could walk. When they wanted to go to my brother’s graduation my great aunt and I sat with her. When she got put in a nursing home she had more people around and wasn’t a burden. I was with her the week she died at 97 she was being turned every hour or two and had to be fed or a cup held for her. She didn’t know most of the people around her except her own kids.
