Is it a common assumption that those who attend Art college are unintelligent?

I don’t know how common it is, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s wrong. A high majority of people in the arts score high on intelligence inventories. Da Vinci was an artist first and an inventor second. Beethoven could mathematically dissect notes in his head into musical masterpieces even though he was deaf. Artists are more intelligent than people give them credit for. It’s less likely that you went into art because you’re not smart and more likely they went into business because they aren’t creative. Or simply that they’re scared of following they’re passion and are playing it safe with a business degree. Don’t let em’ get to you. What it comes down to is they’re making assumptions about something they have no background in, and I can’t think less intelligent behavior than that.
