Is ISOC affiliated to any particular group or school of thought?

ISOC welcomes people from any school of thought within the fold of Islam, and we try in our events to avoid issues of controversy, and promote unity within the Muslim community. The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa slam said ‘differences in my community are a blessing’, and even within the sahaba there were complete opposite types of people, yet all of them followed the Quran and sunnah to the letter. There are many stories where the companions differed on matters, and the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, would laugh and compared them to the different angels. Our purpose is not to divide people because of their differences, but rather to celebrate them, and bring people together.
