Is is tacky or unfashionable to wear yellow gold and white gold jewelry at the same time?”
I have always worn white gold, but I do from time-to-time wear a yellow gold piece. For example, my daughters, a few years ago, bought me a yellow gold ring. the sentimental value of the ring is priceless to me, and I want to wear it as much as possible but I, like you worry about mixing the golds. I married this past August, and my engagement ring and wedding band is Platinum (looks like white gold). I wear some other rings that are white gold and sterling silver. LAST Valentine’s Day, my then fiance’ gave me a necklace that’s yellow gold. I love the necklace, but it doesn’t match my rings, earrings, etc. Ironically, I have worked for a local jeweler for awhile!!! I finally went in search of and found some earrings that incorporate both white and yellow coloring. With them on, I feel like I can blend the jewelry (white gold on hands and yellow gold around my neck). I feel that it made me feel more deliberate in my mixing of my gold colors. I still wish the necklace was white gold but
