Is is ok to use labels on response envelopes for a wedding?

We did. We used a thermal printer and made a decorative label with our wedding theme (Winter/Holiday wedding). They had decorative script like writing and snowflakes. They actually looked really nice. Professional and put together. Both of us have horrible handwriting, and we just couldn’t justify addressing one more set of things when these labels looked so much better. We had absolutely no one else to help us, and spending $1000 for a calligrapher was money we just didn’t want to spend on invites (this was the only person and quote that I could find in my area if you can believe it). So we decided on the labels and never looked back. To be honest, I DID lose some sleep over it worrying about what people would think. And then I thought that I was being silly. It’s not like I’m asking guests to bring their own food to our wedding and pay for their drinks. If you KNOW someone will take the time to complain about it (I.e. uptight Uncle Joe), then by all means hand address his response. O
