Is scary?
We get asked these questions all the time, and they are the hardest ones to answer. After 3 full seasons of this, it’s really hard for us to gauge what is scary. When we ar walking thru the houses, we are looking at it on another level, the quality of the set up, the actors performances, the effects, and after the 10th one of the season, unless they swoop down and literally chop the head off of the person in front of us, we don’t jump much. (And no, no one has done that yet). When we talk with the haunters, we are often invited to walk thru the attractions by ourselves, which we often do in order to take photos without disturbing anyone else’s experience, but we always ask for a second walk thru with a group so that we can have a feel for how the general public reacts to the attraction, and it is thru these reactions that we can gauge the “scariness.” We’re happy to tell you if we think it is age appropriate for children….but in the end, you know your own children best.
