Is information physical or metaphysical–eastern philosophy hints?
Information is only for our convenience.Something which we have used to understand the world better.SO its metaphysical only.But it is obtained through physical media. For example the “law of gravity” is not existent physically but existent only in our mind. Its an interpretation of physical phenomena in metaphysical terms Edit : To Louzer Only the content of the information is real, but the “information” is metaphysical. Gravity was there even before “Laws of gravity” came to picture, or gravity was there even before “gravity ” term came to picture. All these are information for our convenience.So its a mere representation of physical phenomena and NOT physical by itself. What are numbers?, what are mathematics?, what are sciences?, do they have any “existence”???, they are in our minds, thats the only place of “existence”.
