Is Indian/Pakistani food unhealthy?

My answer to your question is… NO. It is NOT UNHEALTHY. I don’t think heart disease and obesity are a problem in that part of the world. Indian/Pakistani food is made with a lot of oil, but so do just about all other food. Chinese cooking uses a lot of oil too. European food contains lots of oil but many are actually “hidden”. – Pizza contains lots of oil – in the pastry and in the cheese. – Sausages and salami contains lots of oil but it is more solid so you might not think of them as “oily” like indian food. – cakes… non greasy.. but there is lot of butter/margarine in it.. So really… to say that Indian food is “unhealthy” is unfair comparison to other food which you might think is healthy – as, in reality, they also contain LOTS of fats/oil.
