Is Indian International driving license valid in United Arab Emirates?
If you come here on a visit visa as a tourist of course you can rent a car and drive on on your International driving licence. With an IDL and being on a visit visa you are not allowed to drive a private owned vehicle. An International driving permit is a special driving license that allows motorist to drive vehicles in other countries without further test or applications. If you have an international driving permit, this proves that you have a valid driving permit issue by a competent authority in your home country. Driving a private vehicle: Recognized internationally, it normally allows you to drive a private motor vehicle without further formality when accompanied by a valid UAE driving license. Guess some answers above me got mixed up with an Indian drivers license and an Internationa license.
