The FDA can only approve prescription medications. Dietary supplements like vitamins and i26 are not within their approval jurisdiction. It is, however, the responsibility of the FDA to investigate and prohibit sales if a product presents an unreasonable risk (e.g., ephedra, ma-huang, etc.).
