In a manner of speaking it is caused by mental imbalance and therefore classified as a disorder. Treatments for this disorder has not really had much success because it is such a minor form of paranoia brought on by stress that not much research is being done. It simply is not taken too seriously as one of the temporary cures used was a placebo (sugar pill).

hypochondriac is when you worry an extreme amount like thinking you have something wrong with you when you don’t it is not a mental illness
