No. The indicator selected for care needs with respect to nutrition is eating. There is a strong correlation between a resident’s need for assistance with eating and for assistance with drinking. It is not necessary to assess both to make an accurate funding decision. Note: A resident’s nutrition and hydration needs must both be met. These remain part of the Accreditation Standards at 2.10.
