Is hula hoopin an aerobic excersise?
Boy I’ll say- strap on a heart monitor and you’ll be a believer. Aerobic exercise is any exercise designed to improve heart and lung function. If doing it increases your heart rate, lung volume and burns calories you are doing an aerobic or cardiovascular targeted exercise. Running, walking, cycling, swimming, dancing, step aerobics, kick boxing, tennis, all sports —- all aerobic. Strength training or resistance training is for muscular develpment, usually more sedentary — but these two types of exercise can be combined – and are very effective for weight loss and endurance when combined. PS- Hula hooping will also work your transverse and rectus abdominus muscles — an added benefit.
