Is horseback riding a good form of exercise?

0

Horseback riding is an excellent form of exercise. It takes a lot of muscles to hold your posture on a horse. If you are not used to riding, you will be sore. I guess the soreness is proof of using those muscles that normally you wouldn’t use. Horseback riding burns calories, not by cardiovascular exercise but by strengthening or toning. The soreness will also go away with proper riding posture (when you are flowing with the movements of the horse, not fighting them). Exercise is also important to your horse so do yourselves both a favor…. saddle up, jump on, and have fun!
