No. Honua Power, LLC, is working primarily on the island of Oahu, in Campbell Industrial Park, to use gasification technology to produce energy from biomass. Hu Honua Bioenergy, LLC is working primarily on the Big Island of Hawaii, in the town of Pepeekeo, to use a former coal-fired boiler to produce energy from biomass. While the two companies endeavor to make renewable energy from biomass a reality, and may share similar names, they are not related in any way.
