Is homemade black bean soup really that much better than a canned good brand?

Isn’t just about ANY homemade soup better than a canned brand, even if it’s considered one of the “better” brands? I certainly think so! And to hear the chefs on the television cooking shows–I think they would agree! It’s really not that hard to prepare a homemade soup; the downside is the time involved and the fact that you have to make it in kind of a large quantity most of the time (when you just want a bowl of it!). But make up a batch and share it with friends or freeze it in individual portions. MUCH better, still, than canned! If you make it yourself, you decide how much salt or spices or other ingredients you want in your soup. Canned products tend to be bland, and/or have a tinny taste. I do eat canned soup, and enjoy many kinds of it, but if I had the choice between canned and homemade–there would be no hesitation on my part to select the homemade.
