Is home schooling better or worse than traditional school teaching?
I strongly disagree to the previous poster’s answer. Even if the education level is on par for public education vs home schooling, the home schooled child lacks critical social skills necessary to succeed and survive as an adult. They are also unable to obtain any opinions or views other than their parents, which doesn’t allow them to think for themselves. I do not think home schooling is an option any parent should consider unless 100% necessary.
Neither. Each have their place and time. Whether home schooling or public schooling is best depends on the personality and needs of the individual child, the abilities of the parents to teach or procure a teacher, and the quality of the public school in question. Appropriate group participation may be achieved for the home school through home school organizations, church events or social clubs. The problem that arises with homeschooling is that not every parent is suited to be a teacher or judge the relative fitness of a tutor.
No it is not better than traditional school teaching, why because kids and teens, they all need to be surrounded by other poeple their age. kids and teens out here need to know how to participate, and communicate with other kids and teens, therefor when they are ready to be let go into the real world, they will not be shy, they will know how to speak to others, and they will have some type of understanding. Now being taught at home is a really good opportunity, however being taught in a place where they have other kids their age and specific learning tools and learning methods, they would be better off being taught what they should be taught at their age and continue to grow into a friendly or not enviroment.
