Is Holland almost a perfect society as they are just about anti-religion(s)?
I LIVE IN HOLLAND So I would not even consider other answers and their bias. Holland has a history of religious tolerance. It is actually nice, even for me as a Christian as there is no social pressure which obliges me to distort my faith such as in the US where I also lived. Holland is by far not a perfect society but still nice to live in. The main difference I would say is the very low level of crime associated with prostitution since it is supervised in a legal frame instead of happening on a “black market”. Other strength of this society include – women´s rights – very low rate of teen pregnancies (over 10x lower than the US) – good level of education – high level of tolerance PS: for those thinking Holland is a paradise for islamists, there is actually a very strong association of “former moslems” which helps people with islamic background having rejected the faith of their parents/family/cultural group to deal with the reactions of these people.
