Is hinduism religion(belief) or philosophy(knowledge)?
At the advanced level it is philosophy. However there are also rituals and mythology that would qualify it to be called a “religion”. But there is no dogma, no rules you must follow except common sensical ones, no converting others by force, no condemning non believers and the majority of the philosophy itself is atheistic for God is seen as a Higher power or state of consciousness that cannot be defined — which is concept even atheists can dig. So technically it is the Perennial Philosophy or Sanathana Dharma. However the mythology and rituals are ways to simplify it for the ignorant masses who may not be intellectually savvy enough to understand the philosophy.
