Is Highway 24 from Colorado Springs to Limon part of the Heartland Expressway?
Although Highway 24 is not “officially designated” as part of the Heartland Expressways Federal High Priority Corridor, it is an integral part of the Heartland Expressway vision and concept. This route provides an essential “bypass” connection to the Heartland Expressway around the congested segments of Interstate 25 from Colorado Springs to Denver and Fort Collins. However, such designation is not being pursued at this time.
