Is Hiclone compatible with snorkels?
Yes! as mentioned in the previous answer Snorkels provide protection from water and can provide some pressure when moving which is a good thing, However many snokel designs have many lumps and bumps, very sharp 90 and 180 degree bends and the like which do create restriction and can also capture dust in dead airflow spots. A snorkel system that uses round pipes with smooth bends will always work better but often this is impractical or expensive so by installing a Hiclone at the top of a snorkel you gain a couple of notable benefits. 1stly as Hiclone improves airflow by up to 21% air will flow more freely down the pipe and around the bends, 2cndly as the air enters the airfilter housing the air (and dust in it) will be circulated over a greater area of the filter medium compared to standard (you will often see a concentration of dust and muck on a filter right where the air enters the filter housing) this improves both airflow through the filter and also by spreading the dust over a gre
