Is her puppy smart (a golden retriever)?
I don’t think i would consider it super smart. Any puppy will benefit from one to one interaction with humans. The reasons puppies seem in general to be pretty dim is because they are only ever addressed as a group of puppies and not as an individual. They are constantly distracted by the pther pups. They are rarely taken to one side on their own and given individual attention and training for more than 10 mins or so, if that.
my golden learnt her name on the afternoon i got her (she was 8weeks old) she had learnt sit and lay down by the end of the first week i think all the pups could learn their indivisual names if u knew them to teach them goldens are an intelligent breed and im sure his new owner will be impressed that he knows his name already!
