Is Hecate associated with Frankincense?
What a fascinating question. It’s not an area in which I have any expertise but I did do a search and Hecate seems to be associated with Myrh, Cypress and Patchouli, not Frankincense. I’m on rather difficult ground here because, as a Buddhist, I know little of Gods and Goddesses. However, it is my understanding that love and dedication of the heart is more important than outer forms. If you have formed a special attachment to Hecate, and if she is a worthy recipient of you dedication, then she will accept your gifts, whatever they may be. I do understand, though, that sage is a clearing and purifying herb. Isn’t that right?.
