Is heaven designed to be mans permanent home?

0

Not one verse in the Bible describes heaven as the goal of the Christian salvation or as mans permanent home. Man was placed on earth to govern under the headship of God. Before the fall, there was no plan to remove man from the earth away from his designated purpose of governing the earth. Heaven must be a lovely place, but it is not our permanent home. Heaven is for spiritual creatures. We are not strictly spirits. We have something the angels do not have; bodies. Bodies are for living on earth. When we are resurrected, we will receive back our bodies. We will rule and reign with Christ for a thousand years here on earth. We will see and experience the new heaven and new earth referred to in Peters epistles.
