Is health insurance a requirement of students at SJU?
Yes. All students must show proof of insurance. New students must fill out the “Insurance Information/Waiver Form” page of the medical history. Students at SJU must carry a policy with a Major Medical Benefit of at least $50,000. Student-athletes at SJU must have a policy with a Major Medical Benefit of at least $75,000 and covers injuries that occur while participating in intercollegiate athletics, as required by the NCAA.
