Absolutely not. Hawk-Seal-E is in no way related to these types of surface treatments. These other systems all inhibit the natural release of moisture vapor (steam). Hawk-Seal-E was specifically formulated to allow steam to escape while maintaining a waterproof barrier. Hawk-Seal-E is designed to penetrate and does not sit on top of the asphalt surface.
