Is having Synesthesia just like tripping on LSD?
I have synesthesia and i’ve tripped plenty, and it goes without saying that shrooms and acid have a lot more effects on a person than synesthesia does. My synesthesia is the type where i associate colors with letters, numbers, days of the week, months, people, sounds, tastes, and some sensations. Also, numbers, letters, days of the week, and months all have personalities. It’s quite trippy but i’ve had it my whole life so it’s all i know from a first-hand experience. Anywho, shrooms and acid definitely accentuate the perception of colors with senses, particularly acid; everything becomes more colorful, so in that sense, they are similar – they fill your world with color. However, they are still quite different, as acid and mushrooms are mind-altering psychedelics and synesthesia is a neurological disorder in which one’s wires are crossed, so to speak.
