Is H1N1 Flu Virus likely to be included in next year’s or future season’s seasonal flu vaccines?

0

Each year, the World Health Organization releases its recommendations on the makeup of the seasonal flu vaccine, which includes three flu virus strains. For the Southern Hemisphere they have already made those recommendations for the upcoming flu season and have recommended H1N1 be one of three strains used. The WHO will make its recommendations for the Northern Hemisphere seasonal flu vaccine in January. The Government of Canada, in conjunction with the provinces and territories, will examine these recommendations along with considerations such as use of adjuvants in making their decisions on next year’s seasonal flu vaccine.
