As of 5/12/05, limited network access is now available to affiliated guest users at Michigan State University, using the SSID MSUnet Wireless Guest. Guest access is currently limited to web (http), secure web (https) services; as of 10/3/05, outbound TCP e-mail client (POP, IMAP, SMTP and LDAP) services; and as of early December 2005, VPN services. More information on MSUnet Wireless guest access can be found here. Note: Kellogg Center guest users should no longer try to use the “guest” NetID for access, as that NetID is no longer active. Kellogg Center Front Desk staff should have MSUnet Wireless Guest access documentation printouts available for their guest users to refer to, as well as the contact number for the ATS Help Desk to call for questions on MSUnet Wireless Guest access.
