Is grammar check really overlook nowadays?
Today’s question: is speed more important than grammar and spelling in a work-related IM? I have been admonished for not spell-checking work-related instant messages at work. The first time involved a system error, and I wanted to alert my team ASAP. The program used at the company does not have a spell-check option, and the “Enter” button sends the message, unlike other programs where one must click “Send”. My manager insists that it reflects poorly on my work quality (and on her, naturally). I have debated the topic with her to no avail.
