Is Government withdrawing from Agricultural R&D?
A. No. The State Government recognises that R&D is fundamental to the growth and international competitiveness of both industry and the State. The Government has recently committed $28M million to the first stage of ARWA’s capital works program, and has pledged to continue to invest in research relevant to the sector. The Government supports the concept that that research can be best provided by amalgamating the individual capabilities of the universities and DAFWA.
