However, we have experienced competitors buying our brand name as keywords. There is a major case is Europe regarding Interflora vs Marks & Spencers where M&S are doing exactly this – buying the key word Interflora to sell their own brand flower delivery service. They are effectively benefiting from years of brand building, and even in 90% of people still go to the brand they were searching for, the 10% that end up on the competitors site is worth a lot of money.
