Is gold bad for navel piercings?
It really depends on the person. Some people react badly to gold, others don’t. Being that said, it could work out fine for you or it could be all bad. Typically, stainless surgical steel rings/barbells are the best jewelery for piercings. It’s pretty rare for anyone to get a bad reaction from it since it’s what doctors actually use in surgeries. Stainless surgical steel is the best, but gold may work for you as well. Just keep it clean and if you notice your skin starting to get very red and itchy, take it out and put your old jewelery back in.
